CONTEST OVERVIEW

WPF technology has the potential to revolutionize the visualization of data in the financial services industry and we went looking for the best examples of WPF working with financial data to illustrate this.

On March 13 2008, Lab49 awarded the prizes for the WPF in Finance Innovation Contest, which challenged developers to create new applications visualizing financial data using WPF. With a panel of WPF celebrity judges and top-name prize sponsors, the contest provided over $20,000 worth of prizes. Lab49 showcased the top entries at the keynote of Microsoft Financial Services Developer Conference.

The Grand Prize winner got the "Ultimate WPF Developer's Machine" to take home and all the fame that goes along with being the world's best WPF Developer. (Paparazzi Included. Groupies optional.) Also, they'll be getting an article/photo/profile in Windows in Financial Services Magazine, a copy of Expression Studio, Visual Studio 2008, Vista Ultimate, a Zune, an Xbox 360 Elite + games, Infragistics NetAdvantage for WPF 2007, and an WPF Signed T-Shirt.
